The Youth Work Program strives to provide individualized support and services to youth requiring assistance in developing skills related to, but not limited to: confidence, emotional management, life skills, and access to recreational opportunities.
In collaboration with Children Services, the individual youth, and our Youth Worker, three or more primary goals will be identified, which assist in improving the youth’s current life situation as well as aid in the eventual transition into adolescence and adulthood.
Involvement in the community is an essential part of the youth work program. Cultural, academic, and a variety of extracurricular community experiences with youth help build relationships and routine that lasts a lifetime.
Youth workers are selected based on compatibility in order to provide the best service for the youth. The role of our Youth Worker is to be a role model and mentor to the youth they are supporting. The focus of work is created based on the individual youth and their current life circumstances.
