Worth Resolving provides three levels of Access and Visitation. Through all levels of visitation we assist in children and youth having access to their families and support networks. This program aims to ensure that all visitation is provided in an emotionally and physically safe environment while maintaining relationships with important persons in their lives.
Supervised Access is provided to families as an entrance level to assess issues regarding safety of a child(ren) within their family, the motivation, or skills of the parents and family. This service is generally for families where a recent apprehension has occurred.
Supportive Access requires a larger degree of investment and learning from the parents and because of the decrease (but not absence) of safety concerns, access can now be considered for locations other than secured sites, including the community. Visitation Support workers will provide an increased level of support and guidance during visitation in order to aid and benefit the families overall functioning and interactions.
Comprehensive Access provides opportunities and focus for the parents to work towards their goals, which are established in collaboration with Children Services and themselves. Parents will work on improving their parenting skills and conditions required to reunify their family. In addition parents will be engaged in external services which may include, but is not limited to: treatment, counselling, parenting classes, substance testing, etc. Family Development workers take an active approach in engaging families in positive role modelling, coaching, and ways to improve familial relationships, parenting skills, etc.
